Pullova is made to cater for transportation safety, and affordability yearning of people. Safe transport makes the journey worthwhile. Please take a moment to read the safety tips outlined below.
Before the Trip
No anonymous pickups
All riders must create an account and provide their name and phone number before they can request a ride. So when you accept a request, you’ll know who you’re picking up and so will we.
Keeping phone numbers safe.
Pullova uses technology that anonymizes rider and driver phone numbers to keep contact details confidential in the upgraded version of the App. So when you and your rider need to contact each other, your personal information stays private.
When riders enter their destination, you will automatically receive turn-by-turn directions in the app, so you can focus on getting there safely.
Always on the map
GPS data is logged for every trip so we know who you’re driving and where you’re going, which promotes accountability and encourages good behavior.
After the trip
Always improving the Pullova experience
No change, No stress
Fares automatically charge the rider’s payment method on file, so for most trips you can avoid using cash altogether.
Enjoy our two-way rating after every trip. We review those ratings to ensure that everyone is as respectful as you are. Drivers/Riders reported to violate our terms of service may be prevented from using Pullova.
Our support team is always ready to respond to any questions you may have about your driving experience.
As a driver, you have the power to help keep the roads safe for everyone. Here are the tips:
Stay Focused on Driving: You can help keep the roads safe by staying alert, keeping your eyes on the road, and avoiding texting while driving. We recommend using a mount to position your phone in a place where you can easily see it to help reduce dangerous distractions. It’s also important to take breaks for rest when needed to prevent drowsy driving.
Watch for Pedestrians and Bikers: Be on the lookout for people who are walking and biking. This is especially important when you’re pulling over for a drop-off or pick-up, or driving at night. Experts report that 74 percent of pedestrian fatalities occurred in the dark, and 2015 marked the highest number of pedestrian deaths in nearly a decade.
Keep Your Drop-Offs Legal: Drop off passengers in safe and legal locations, like passenger loading zones or where there is enough space to pull over and avoid blocking bike lanes. It’s important to know your local laws so you can abide by them. Check your state’s traffic laws.
Encourage Backseat Riders: Consider inviting riders traveling solo to sit in the back seat. This allows them to safely exit from either side of the vehicle to avoid oncoming traffic and also gives you both some personal space.
Spread the Word to Buckle Up: In 2015, nearly 14,000 lives were saved thanks to seat belt use. A great way to start your trip is by reminding your riders to buckle up. In the vast majority of states, seat belt use is required by law, so don’t forget to fasten yours.
Be patient: Our community guidelines call for both riders and drivers to always treat each other with respect. If you encounter a difficult rider, your actions can help manage the situation. Please remain calm, avoid controversial topics of conversation, and respect people’s differences. If you ever feel uncomfortable or unsafe, you can end the ride at any time. And in an emergency situation, always call 911 first. Then, when it is safe, report the incident to Pullova.
Give Feedback: Your feedback matters! It helps improve the Pullova experience and promote a safe environment. Simply rate the rider after your trip and add your comments via the “Help” button in the app. Unruly riders should be reported. Our 24/7 global support team will review your feedback and take appropriate action, which can include removing a rider’s access to Pullova.
Request Your Ride Inside: When the party’s over, there’s no need to hang curbside. Wait safely indoors while keeping an eye on your app for your driver to arrive.
Know Your Pullova, Avoid Scams: When you request a Pullova, you’re given the driver’s name, photo, car make and license plate number in your app. Before you get in the car, check the license plate number and look in the window to make sure the driver matches the photo. When you open the door, ask for the driver’s name. Always remember Pullova rides can only be requested through the app, so never accept street hail solicitations from those claiming to be Pullova.
Be a Backseat Rider: If you’re riding alone, choose to sit in the backseat. This ensures you have the option of exiting either side of the vehicle after it safely stops to avoid moving traffic and gives you and your driver some personal space.
Share Your Trip Details: While enroute, you can not only monitor your own trip in your app but also share your trip details with friends and family. Simply tap the “Send Status” button to immediately send your driver’s name, photo, vehicle, and where you are on the map to a friend or family member, so they know when you’ve safely arrived. They don’t even need to download the app to track your trip!
Protect your Personal Information: As you would anywhere, be cautious when sharing any personal information. There is no need to share your phone number or personal contact details. Riders and drivers’ phone numbers are hidden when they communicate via the Pullova app to protect everyone’s privacy.
Give Feedback: Your feedback helps us improve the Pullova experience for everyone, maintain a high quality service and provide accountability. Our 24/7 support team reviews this feedback and will follow up with appropriate action regarding reports of conduct that violates our community guidelines.
Plan Ahead: Take time to review the safety features available to you in the app before you head out with friends, so you know how to use them. It’s easy and quick. Before you request a ride, know where your destination is and choose a friend or family member whom you can share your trip details with later.
Be Kind and Respectful: Please treat your driver as you would want to be treated. Be respectful of his personal vehicle. Our community guidelines apply to both riders and drivers.
Follow Your Intuition: Trust your instincts and use your best judgement when using the Pullova app. Beware of your surroundings. And if you ever fell you’re in an emergency situation, always call 911 immediately.
Don’t forget – Buckle up: you may not be in the driver’s seat, but that’s no excuse to forget the Golden Rule of car ridership. According to the Centers for Disease Control, seatbelt use is the most effective way to save lives and reduce injuries if ever an accident should occur. So fasten that seatbelt.
